My copy of TuneUp! from Michtron does *NOT* work with 32 Meg partitions. It dates from summer '89, and I have not received any upgrade notices. I called and complained about this and other nasty but easily fixed bugs, and was told that an update was due in summer '90. I've heard nothing about it, has anyone else? Bob Pegram Internet domain: pegram@griffin.uvm.edu UUCP: uunet!uvm-gen!pegram P.S. Guess I'll be getting Dave's program fairly soon. Are ICD 4.XX 32 Meg partions fully compatible with HDX 3.x partitions? I assume so.... RBPIII P.P.S. Dave B, Darek M, and other Atari S/W vendors, just because I may prefer to talk about free or share ware on the net doesn't mean that I don't *buy* software, quite the contrary. I think that superior commercial software should be recommened on the net, and I do so, I have even recommended TuneUp for those ST owners who keep only 16 Meg or smaller partitions and are careful when using it. Inferior or buggy software I try not to recommend, if I know about better competitors (I didn't know about Hard disk Sentry when I recommended TuneUp). For example, a PD (or is it Shareware?) disk erasing program that I have (only the FATs are cleared, bad sector marks are preserved) has a superior interface to the one in the Codehead Utilities and seems to work just as well. If you want to see really buggy commercial software, try "Mavis Beacon..."(typing tutor) on the ST. It bombs (a lot!, in *my* experience) with Tos 1.0 and doesn't work at all with Tos 1.4. Speaking of commercial software, my copy of Diamond Back II doesn't handle my 32 Meg partition quite properly, it thinks I have a negative amount of disk space 8-); at least it should still back up the partition, I will find out this week. This is especially odd since my *17* Meg partition's space is reported correctly. Are you reading this Bob Luneski ?? RBPIII
