Before I go banging my head any further: If your assumption were true, TOS were not able to print bitmap graphics ! But You and I know TOS was able to do that ! So the only conclusion is TOS doesnot add/convert something. So you have to reconsider your previous paragraph > I believe I have all the dip-switches set so that isolated CR's > do not linefeed.
