As was said, we have Very New ROMs, and the boot command has changed radically (as well as a number of others). There is supposed to be some additional documentation included with the new DS5000s describing the change, but we did not receive a copy. A postscript copy of a document describing the changes is in decuac.dec.com:~ftp/public/postscript/DS5000_console_command_comparison.ps I also received a postscript copy of the customer letter (part number EK-FSFCO-WS or maybe DS5000_boot_commands.ps somewhere for ftp) which describes the new boot procedures in more detail.
