The HP3000 is a mini-computer -- not a mainframe. We do not market the thing to go head to head with a full IBM mainframe. Instead, we set our sights on the smaller business that uses the thing for accounting systems, payroll, inventory and boring business purposes. By "joint accounts", I think you mean more than one user using the same account. So you can have BOB.ACCOUNT and FRED.ACCOUNT and depending on which "Home group" these users have they can share files without always having to use the "RELEASE" command. See the NEWUSER, and ALTUSER command to add or change users. There is a full discusion in one of the manuals, but I can't remember which one off hand. Good luck.
