The Digitran Systems (relabeled Zoltrix Systems card) fax/modem includes Bit Software's BitFax/SR and BitCom software. Among the options in BitFax/SR is the ability to determine incoming fax or data and respond accordingly. Though I've not yet tried it (I use this line for voice mail more than fax/data), it looks promising as a solution. I don't have access to BitFax's or Digitran's phone/mail info now.
