Actually, it probably depends on the driver you use and how it was terminated. I have as APS SyQuest but use SilverLining. I feel more comfortable using a cartridge than worry about a tape restoring. Tape can be affected too easily from strong magnetic fields. And if a tape goes bad.... no Norton to turn to. Waiting for a restore is not better than instant access. I sold my Teac, I've lost too much using it. SyQuests are even better as a second drive. Can't do that with a tape drive. Access time is better than many conventional drives. It mounts and umounts like a floppy. _________ moof moof
