However, one of my requirements was that the modem have a speaker for monitoring the progress of the dialing/signal acquisition process, and neither of these modems had one. I ended up buying a Zoom send FAX modem from Software that Fits for $119. It took four days to arrive, and works great (although I have to admit that the FAX software is not the greatest, but it does the job!)
