I have a Mac IIcx with a 1.4 mb floppy drive. Of late it refuses to read
many 800k disks -- particularly those formatted on other machines. Often
inserting the disk 5 or 6 times results in a successful read. I got a 3M
head cleaning kit, but it didn't seem to help.

Any suggestions?
