I encountered an interesting problem. I was trying to format my Jasmine DirectDrive 80 and it gave me the default of installation of minimal mac plus software. When I changed to my internal drive (HD20) the installer recognized my SE. Now comes the interesting part. When I hit the 'customize' button and chose system software for any mac, appleshare, and laserwriter 5.2, it went through the installation normally and claimed that it com pleted successfully. BUT when I restarted, I got a happy mac followed immediately by a message "This system file may be damaged - the installer can fix this problem." I tried re-installing, but no luck. Then I tried installing the system on my internal drive and drag copying the result to my external HD. That worked, fortunately, but I suppose this is a bug in the installer.
