All I was asking for was a machine readable form of the SGML standard e.g. BNF description. I wasn't asking for a machine readable version of the Standard document which includes all the descriptions of the various elements contained in the grammar. Secondly I never said I wouldn't pay for a machine readable version of the standard. If it was freely available that would be better but I would rather pay a small fee than to try to manually enter the standard. James W.
