Message-ID: <1990Oct1.161345.11732@sics.se> Date: 1 Oct 90 16:13:45 GMT Sender: news@sics.se Organization: Swedish Institute of Computer Science, Kista Lines: 10 Is there any clean way to use TeX with redirected i/o in a unix environment? I fooled around a little and got it to accept input from the standard input. The dvi output appeared on a file "texput.log". It produced a lot of ugly messages though (even though the dvi file was OK) and I found no way to redirect the output through, say, a pipe. It would be a nice feature to fit TeX into chains of text-producing commands cleanly. Bjorn Lisper
