I just recently installed TeX3.0 for my first time, and I am not
familar with TeX or Metafont (I have played with it, but that is about it).

I am trying to run dvips which runs MakeTeXPK which in turn runs mf.

And I get the following error:

(Fatal base file error; I'm stymied)
Metafont failed for some reason on cmr17.400gf
dvips: Could not open cmr17.400pk, loading tfm

Did I do something wrong when I installed metafont?

(This is on a SUN3/280 running SUNOS4.1)
