I compiled the xman client that's part of the X11R4 distribution using the R4 libraries that I compiled and everything is built and working. When I run xman (or any other client built with R4 libraries) against Apple's server (provided with Apple's X-windows package), everything runs OK, but I get a constant stream or warning messages to the clients parent shell that say something to the effect of "Warning: version mismatch...Widget is version 11004 vs. intrinsics 11003". I don't understand this since I am using release 4 headers and libraries when I compile the clients and according to Apple's X-Windows documentation, the Apple X-window server is a release 4 server and fonts. Can anyone at Apple or elsewhere explain this or suggest ways of getting rid of these annoying warning messages? Peter Espen pke@btr.com
