A long time ago I changed my `default' .cshrc (the one new accounts got back in 1981 when I got my new account) to take out `.', then put it back at the end because I was not in the habit of typing `./foo' to run ./foo. Since then I have acquired this habit, so I could take it out again.... I suppose this is like sex: you can risk it or not, and if you risk it you can practise `safely'.... :-) -- In-Real-Life: Chris Torek, Univ of MD Comp Sci Dept (+1 301 405 2750) Domain: chris@cs.umd.edu Path: uunet!mimsy!chris
