Anyway the way to do this is ignore the error reported by fdisk (where it says it lowered the number of cylinders to 1024) and continue with the installation. The later steps in the installation will see the correct number of cyls (or you can override it if it doesn't). This is documented in one of the manuals (probably the installation manual). -- Conor P.
