Is the "wordAt" messages broken on class Long in Actor 3.0?

When I run their examples such as
   wordAt (0x345FL);

which should show the contents of the word at 0000:345F,

windows seems to be semi-hung (i.e. the mouse pointer will still move,
but nothing else happens until I CTRL-ALT-DEL).

Can anyone else duplicate this behavior?  Am I doing something wrong?

I can't get support until I register the product, but I can't register the
product until we decide to keep it!
