The problem is we have a cg9 frame buffer, with a gp2 graphics processor and a parallax ntsc video frame buffer. I have determined that if I set the variable XDEVICE to /dev/cgnine0, then I am able to get X11r4 to display on the correct device, but it is only in monochrome. What we would like to have is the full 24-bits in X-windows, I was wondering if the OpenLook software that Sun supplies offers 24 bit support for this framebuffer? I have heard from friends that the standard X11r4 release doesn't offer 24-bits, but is there anyway to at least get 8bits on the cg9 device? Please post any help through e-mail. -- Wayne Wooten | Georgia Institute of Technology (404) 934-2822 | ARPA: gt1737b@prism.gatech.edu --------------------------------------------------------------------------- uucp: ...!{allegra,amd,hplabs,seismo,ut-ngp}!gatech!prism!gt1737b
