Second, are there any plans to provide a new visual class with a depth of 12 or more bits under the standard distribution of the X Widow System? I am concerned that we may otherwise exclude medical imaging applications-- which often require 12 bit greyscale images to capture subtle shadows--if we don't extend the potential depth of the greyscale visual.
