Perhaps a larger community that would have more people and also one where you would be able to be more accepted as a person and not as someone they have known for years. Smaller communities seem to be more involved in watching what others do and how they act. Also have you attended college? I work at Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio. We are THE premier university in the nation for handicapped students, particularly people who are wheel chair bound. Our buildings are all connected by underground tunnels, there are all kinds of equipment available to assist if you have a particular handicap and the university is extremely sensitive to the needs of the handicapped students. Give us a look!
