I have heard of a card that you can get for around $250, or so, that allows you to digitize voice, and save it to hard disk. Takes a lot of space to sttore voice, depending upon sampling rate. Since we're dealing with phone lines, the sampling rate would not have to be more than, let's say 10 kilohertz, or so. Not sure what those cards sample at, though. think they might be for music, or something. No reason yu couldn't digitize voice, then upload it to a board for future download, or something. Now, wouldn't that be neat!!?? Only problem is that a person would need 100 megs of drive space to get 15 to 20 minutes of digitized speech on there, I think. Great idea, though, Dan! Hope to hear from you very soonn Dave Martin -- Uucp: ..!{decvax,oliveb}!bunker!hcap!hnews!106!800!Dave.Martin Internet: Dave.Martin@f800.n106.z1.fidonet.org
