I don't have much more information on this, but I need to ask.

It appears that suddenly our sendbatches script is *not* creating the 
batches correctly for one of our feeds.  The problem appears to be that the
"#! cunbatch" line is not getting into the batch, or a blank line is being
put on the first line instead.

Has anyone else seen these symptoms?

Our Cnews has been running steadily since around mid-August, when I last
patched it.  It has not been touched by human hands since then.

I checked the sys, batchparms, sendbatches, and compcun.  All appear "normal".

Any guesses or pointers greatly appreciated.
