The first is the AD827 from Analog Devices. It is a high speed, low power dual op amp, NC1458 pin compatible. With 300V/uS slew rate, and 50 MHz unity gain bandwidth, it looks useful. The other is the PMI OP-260. It is a current-feedback design; it was also designed to "plug in" to many circuits that were designed around voltage feedback op-amps. It boasts 1000V/uS slew rate, with 90MHz bandwidth at unity gain. It is also available in MC1458 pin compatible package. Both applications list DAC output buffering; I bet either would be excellent for replacing DAC buffers in Magnavox CD players. If you want more info, send me a message. - Tom Thomas Krueger UW-Milwaukee Engineering Electronics Shop tjk@csd4.csd.uwm.edu +1 (414) 229-5172 Moderator of rec.audio.high-end and the Mystery mailing list.
