I am checking other sources and would be happy to share info I receive. This is going to be a little vague, but between the volume of reading and the amount of time devoted to cataloging my personal library anymore, I am only sure of what I read, but it takes time to track down where and when. The Chicago Tribune had an article on Dr. Salk in one of the Sunday editions in the Tempo section sometime in the last two or three months, a good librarian should be able to help; also the Trib has a computerized list somewhere, so serious efforts to track down the article aren't intractible. Regarding Chinese herbs, there have been a couple of articles on AIDS vs Chinese herbs in the NewYorkTimes (probably a Tuesday) in the last two months and another article on using a Chinese vaccine for a horse virus which is awfully similar to AIDS for horses which was developed (the vaccine, that is) back in the fifties or sixties. I am sure it was a Tuesday since that's the day the NYTimes has Science Day; section B. My humbles apologies again, but taking Chinese and Japanese has chewed into some of my mental disciplines normally devoted to reading. P.S. The latest issue of Discover (September) has a a cover devoted to "At Last: The first real hope for an AIDS vaccine" if you are interested in it, I would recommend getting it soon--the next issue (October) should be replacing it on the newsstands sometime in the next three to four days... Good Luck (and I hope this helps, at least some). ------------------------------------------------------------------------ "Before acting, deliberate.
