There are several utilities for this purpose such as the classic dosedit, (/pc/sysutil/)anarkey3.zoo, (/pc/pd2)ced10da.zip, histry61, commando and so on, available from ftp sites and BBSes. Personally I would perhaps recommend ced, but this is a matter of individual taste.
