My original posting was:

I received one vote for each of the modems listed below.  There seems to
be little interest in 2400 baud modems now that the price has made them
throw aways if they do not work.

  1. Micom (not Microcom) 2400 bps MNP-4 modem 

  2. ZOOM 2400 baud modem
 
  3. Practical Peripherals
 
  4. USR 2400

  5. AVATEX 2400
