I'm a bit stunned, as I've been speaking to ATI on the phone several times in the last couple of weeks and they swear that they are not shipping the V.42bis yet (but it's only days away.) Perhaps they shipped to the USA first. Anyway, I have the same problem with detecting BUSY. Seems that one out of every four or five tries, there is a strange click right after the busy signal starts and the modem is unable to detect on that try.
