Reverse engineering it would be trivial for any competant UUCP hacker, though. (I still haven't gotten it clear whether Peter Honeyman is accepting the blame for 'e' or not...) (I did a version for 4.3BSD. Alas, I did it by swiping the SVR3.0 source, so I can't give it back to Berkeley.)
