With a telnet session from a Decstation 2100 to an AGS there seems to be some flow control problems in that ^S/^Q's are sent to the CISCO (or at least they seem to be as they echo as ^S/^Q) but they are not recognized and the Cisco display continues or complains about the funny ^S/^Q characters. This used to work fine from a MicroVax running Ultrix but under Ultrix 4.0 on the DS2100 this problem occurs. On looking at the VTY characteristics I can note that flow control is not enabled. If this is the problem then: 1. How can I tell the Cisco to enable flow control on that VTY? (I cannot find it described in the manual anywhere) 2. Or alternatively how can I get telnet to do the correct handshaking for flow control on forming the connection? Regards, Phil County, Network Manager, La Trobe University, Bundoora .. Victoria ..
