This is in their professional package, and part of their overall system. They have an optimizing compiler for production code, and a resident version called QuickMod which runs like greased lightning for development. The QuickMod compiler is *not* cut down, by the way. They develop their own compiler in it and on a 386 they can compile and link a 15000 line source module in 9 seconds. Call it about 45 seconds on your XT. For 15,000 lines, linked and running, this ain't half bad. Microsoft's Macro Assembler is a good deal slower than that. I think it's the faster compiler, of any make or language, that money can buy.
