A friend I help with his computer queries owns the AST Turbolaser - this
model uses a dedicated board within the cpu that connects to the printer.
I guess AST has abandoned this technology (maybe even abandoned printers).
The board began overheating (severely) and was sent to AST. They sent a
replacement, but in my opinion it was not a new board - and to top it off,
when installed in the machine, it doesn't work!!

My question:  does anyone know of a source for replacement boards (maybe
large suppliers/dealers of AST) ??
