Keywords: syslog, Ultrix Message-ID: <111@fedeva.UUCP> Date: 5 Oct 90 17:26:28 GMT Organization: Federal Express Corp., Memphis, TN Lines: 20 I posted a similar request about a week or two ago. Just as luck would have it my news machine went away for a couple of days right afterwards. I have need to log operator messages via syslog(3) on a remote machine. I am sure that this is possible because of the way the docs and headers read. It seems however that Ultrix has coded up syslog() so that all messages go to the local machine. If there is a way around this I would be ever grateful to the one who shares the insight. If there is not a workaround, could someone mail me the source to syslog(3) and syslog(8) if it is publicly available?
