However, I've seen DES-algorithms and similar floating around the net long time ago. 1/ Does anyone have a free version of crypt(1)? It should work just like UNIX crypt. I know that's not the best crypt around, but compability requires it. (I'll use it with GNU Emacs crypt.el). 2/ I'm also looking for a crypt that produces printable output. I'll use this for crypting email and as I'm using Emacs to write/read mail, any lisp-code for Emacs that does this is especially welcome. Note: I don't have access to Internet, ie no ftp.
