Calling net.wisdom ... I have a question concerning my wimpy power supply on my A500. I have had a 63.5 watt IB* XT power supply fall into my lab for a very good price. (Read free). I wish to replace my stock baby A500 supply with it. I have identified the proper lines on the XT supply (+5v,+12v,-12,gnd) from the main outputs of the XT supply. (Anyone familier with one knows that there are about 15 wires there.) My problem is this: on the bottem of my present A500 supply, there is a nice handy wiring diagram, with all lines labeled quite nicely,[3mEXCEPT[0m, there is a signal ground and a shield ground pin. There are two separate pins. What is the difference and is there something coresponding on the output of my XT supply? I's jest gots to know; before my A500 supply blows up and takes my machine with it. Basicly, what are these pins and how do I hook them up to my XT supply? Just what is the computer looking for on these lines? If you can save my butt, thanks very much in advance... ==Brett ...ccicpg!cci632!sjfc!bpv9073 OR ...rutgers!cci632!sjfc!bpv9073
