Summary: Can I attach a DN3000 to a TCP/IP ethernet? Keywords: Apollo DN3000 TCP/IP Ethernet NFS Message-ID: <1990Oct5.081004.17793@ux1.cso.uiuc.edu> Date: 5 Oct 90 08:10:04 GMT Sender: news@ux1.cso.uiuc.edu (News) Reply-To: voss@cs.uiuc.edu (Bill Voss) Organization: University of Illinois, Dept. of Comp. Science, Urbana Lines: 18 I'm in the process of negotiating the purchase of a used DN3000 currently running SR10.2 with an Apollo token ring interface. I would like to connect the machine to a TCP/IP thin-ethernet network. In addition to ftp, rcp, rlogin, etc I would also like the machine to act as both an NFS client and server. Can this be done on a tight budget? What hardware will I need? (Where can I get it? How much will it cost?) What software will I need? (Where can I get it? How much will it cost?) Partial answers welcome! Vendor answers accepted.
