Message-ID: <113355@tiger.oxy.edu> Date: 2 Oct 90 04:44:34 GMT Distribution: usa Organization: Occidental College, Los Angeles, CA 90041 Lines: 27 I am having just the GREATEST luck with hardware this month (sarcasm intended). Here is my problem: My IW II just decided to stop feeding paper. Using the line feed button, I get varying advances of paper, from nothing up to the normal amount. Holding down the button (ie force form feed) or pressing the FF button just makes it grind and do nothing. Tugging on the paper to help it out sometimes fixes that problem, but the line feed problem is just too much of a pain to handle. The really weird thing is I just printed 5 pages out this morning and everything worked FINE. I used AW 3.0 for 2 pages, and AWGS for 3 more. Th They came out flawlessly (well, almost). But now I try printing from either program and I get microspaced (vertically) text and AWGS just looks like hell. The same thing happens with the self-test printout, which leads me to believe that it's a stripped gear or something inside that I can't see. What's going on here? Is there some impact-based problem that could have been created from shipping (Portland->LA) that just took a while to manifest? UPS is really going to love this one... 'It worked for a little while.....but now it's just ALL messed up.' Any help would be greatly appreciated. Please respond via e-mail. Dale LaFountain prophet@oxy.edu
