If I can get them unbundled, I repack them with ZOO, so I can trust the results. LZH is a good idea, but some of the people implementing it on the ST have made bad and nonportable assumptions about structures, word ordering, etc., resulting in serious incompatibilities. It's like trying to pick a lock. If you can find the right combination, you strike it rich.
