Of course, as you note, the *Rainbow* is limited to 896Kb, but the 8088 with 20 address lines reaches to 1 mb. The Z80 with 16 address lines gets another 64K, just be complete! - --- Opus-CBCS 1.12 * Origin: Silver Bullet - Silver Spring, Md - 301-622-2247 (1:109/417.0) ------------------------------ Date: 10-04-90 (07:13) To: CARL HOUSEMAN Subject: RE: EXTENDED MEMORY ON A From: PAUL OLSON Carl, Yes, that's the set I'm talking about. The only time DEC is mentioned in the manuals is in the opening credits. Otherwise it is all DR. It wouldn't suprise me that they screwed up. I haven't ever had to push the entire memory in any of my programs, so it never became an issue. ;-) Thanks for keeping everyone informed, including me! Even an old Rainbow dog can learn a few tricks, or information! I entered this questions earlier, but received no response. (or I missed it). Actually, if anyone knows any-and-all hard drives are workable with the rainbow, the information would be appreciated. $ SET THANKS/IN_ADVANCE - ------------/ /Marc McCune - --- Opus-CBCS 1.13 * Origin: VAXCat, Merrimack, NH; Home of the Black VAXCat; (1:132/777.0) ------------------------------ Date: 10-05-90 (07:01) To: GEORGE THEALL Subject: LA50 TO AT SERIAL PORT From: DON MARQUART > From: dimacs.rutgers.edu!srm@seismo.css.gov (Scott R.
