Normally the function keys should be retained with the power off. A common reason for lost of function key/configuration information is dead batteries: the 150 uses alkaline N cells which need to be changed about every 2 years; you might want to check the condition of the contacts also. There exist programs to store and recall the non-volatile portion of memory; I've never used them, but some people prefer them to fiddling with the battery (especially if you need more than one setup). ** Not an official statement **
