Hi!
 
I have a problem with a SCSI adapter (Adaptec 1542B) and the hard disk
Maxtor LXT-200S.
 
When I try to format the drive with the program resident in the controller
BIOS (G=DC00:6) I get the following message:
 
"Error on scsi format command - Error 0403".
 
The SCSI ID is 0:0, the drive is installed by the controller as drive C:,
and if I run the standard DOS (3.3) FDISK I'm able to make the first
partition. So when I try to format the drive C:, I dont get errors but when
I try to copy the files i get the message "Sector not found".
 
Any idea???
 
        Hardware configuration:
 
        386/33 MHz.
        VGA with 8514 monitor
        Adaptec 1542B
        Maxtor LXT-200S
