I do not remember the #model of the controller, but it was a regular Western Digital MFM #controller with 3:1 interleave. The drive was divided into four #partitions. # I have an ST-277-1 in my XT formatted to 65MB with two 32.5MB partitions on a Western Digital 27X card (RLL format). It is my understanding that the only limiting factors in drive size in an XT are the controller card's drive capacity limit (in the card BIOS) and the drive bay of the box (I had only a half height bay left open). I am told the 27X can address drives over 150MB without errors.
