I need some help and/or advice.

I am having trouble with my pc locking up (Micro Express 386sx)
when backing up floppies.

When using PCTools pcbackup utility to 3.5", 1.4Mb floppies, my
computer consistently locks up unless I select the "format always"
backup option. This occurs in both high speed and medium speed modes.

Am I doing something wrong?
Has anyone encountered any similar problems using this tool? I
have also had some trouble using the PCFORMAT command. DOS
format works fine.

The floppies are Nashua DS/HD.

Any help is appreciated,
