     None of the lab potions are of any use to the game.  The potion in the glo
be is an antidote to the wraith's curse. You don't have to clear the landslide
to win.  I have heard that it is possible to do it, but I have never figured ou
t how.  The hole in the ceiling of the basement(I am not talking about the rope
 room) goes up to the trap door on the main floor(In the room leading to the dr
agon).  The goblin room is not important.  When crossing the troll bridge the f
irst time, you MUST use the spear.  If you use the scroll he will become angry
and you will not be able to cross later with the spear.

Funny, I don't remember having this problem.  I think if you activate the 
scroll before you attempt to cross the bridge, the troll will not show
his ugly mug, and will therefore give no problems.

I am fairly sure I have gotten across both ways.
