Message-ID: <7630.270D1EAD@fidogate.FIDONET.ORG> Date: 28 Sep 90 09:45:52 GMT Sender: ufgate@fidogate.FIDONET.ORG (newsout1.26) Organization: FidoNet node 1:161/555 - MacCircles, Pleasanton CA Lines: 10 I have been having some "trouble" for a while, and would finally like to check it out. I have a IIci with a Sony CPD1304 multiscanning monitor. It seems the left side of my screen is slightly darker than the rights side, for no apparent reason - I can see it readily with a white screen when I turn down the contrast enough. I thought it might be the cable, so I bought a new cable from a different dealer - no solution. I thought it might be the monitor, so I got that exchanged, but the problem persists. The only other conclusion I can come to is that there's something wrong with my IIci. Has anybody every run into this problem before, or anything similar? Is there anything I can check myself before hauling my IIci down to the dealer? When normally using the Mac at normal contrast and brightness levels, the problem manifests itself as a small "bar" down the middle of the screen (about the width of 3 characters that appears lighter than the rest of the screen. Can anyone offer any suggestions?
