A friend of mine had a hard disk scrambled when he attached his cartridge drive for backup, and we KNOW why it happened; the cartridge drive and the hard disk were BOTH SCSI address #0. That's guaranteed to confuse ANY file system. Recovery was possible, and our hats are off to Norton Utilities for Macintosh (which was the tool that did the job). Set the cartridge drive ID carefully, before connecting. John Whitmore
