They don't know from command-lines (unless they have experience on a clone, Amiga, or previous experience on a Unix box). The Mac's interface is so easy to use and transparent to the user, that anything else is almost a nightmare. Here's one of the Mac's biggest advantages, and biggest weaknesses : an easy to use, but closed off OS. "Users" feel right at home, but are unprepared for work on any other system. However, if you keep up with what's happening in the Unix world, you'll see that with the benefits of Open Look, Motif, and NeXT Step, UNIX is nearing the Mac's intuitiveness...and may reach that before the MacOS gets preemptive multitasking or VM (VM may be coming in Sys7, but not m-tasking).
