Summary: here are the places... Keywords: lex, yacc, awk, macyacc, bison, flex, gawk Message-ID: <1990Oct10.204813.22262@rick.cs.ubc.ca> Date: 10 Oct 90 20:48:13 GMT References: <143400015@uxa.cso.uiuc.edu> <271374CB.7761@ics.uci.edu> Sender: news@rick.cs.ubc.ca (Usenet News) Followup-To: comp.sys.mac.misc Organization: Rick Lab, CPSC, UBC, Vancouver, B.C., Canada Lines: 17 Thanks for all the informative replies and me-too's over the last day. I was surprised by the amount of message that came thru wrt this. It seem that there is a great hidden demand for these three for the Mac so I'll summarize everything here: o there are two ports of yacc for the Mac: MacYacc and Bison. Both are available on sumex. I just got a copy of Bison from rascal.ics.utexas.edu because I couldn't get thru to sumex. o there is one port of lex for the Mac called Flex. It is available on sumex and rascal. o there is one port of awk for the Mac called Gawk. It was just submitted to sumex. Bison and Flex are ports of GNU yacc and lex. I just got my copies today so I can't say anything about performance. George Chow
