This question may have been asked before, but...

Will it be possible to change the bit depth of either the
NeXTdimension or the NeXTstation color display to 2 bits (super cheap
"color") or lower than 32 or 16 bits, respectively, so that in
situations where color isn't needed, one can get super fast output on
the screen?
