College of Engineering. Lines: 22 Hello, Has anyone experienced a problem with sendmail and an alias pointing to a a program ? For example, the following line should execute the program "program" when you send mail to test (works the same way as in the vacation program). test: "|/usr/local/bin/program" When I send an email to test, I get a returned mail saying: unknown mailer error 1 The program is a very simple script that filters the mail looking for a specific domain. This program has been working on a SUN/IBM RT/ULTRIX machine for months without any problem. So I suspect that there is a problem with sendmail running a program from the aliases file. Have you heard about this problem? Is there anything I can do to fix it. Thanx for any help. Naim Bentahar
