The response was less than expected. I found one company, on my own, that provides an SMB server for the SUN. The company is Syntax. They are a west coast company ... I don't have the details here but send me email if you are interested. Not only do they provide SUN versions but also VMS, Ultrix, SYSV386, and they are willing to port it to other platforms upon request. Their SMB server not only provides file server capablities it also has a programmers API that will allow those stranded MS Windows 3.0 programmers a way to write client server applications that talk to UNIX hosts.
