Playing with the password file, created a userid, then ypmake passwd, all is AOK, then remove user from passwd file, re-make passwd and .... ypmatch user passwd still finds the user, ypcat passwd | grep user ... does NOT find user. This holds true for the NIS server and a slave server, and a pure client. All are running 4.1, the NIS server is a 4/330, the client/slave are SUN 3's. Under most circumstances this would not be much of a problem, depending upon how long it persists (20 mins so far), but it makes what I'm doing a real problem. Thanks in advance for any help.
